Happy Holiday Season! And happy end to the road construction! I have a LOT of news to share, so let’s get to it! To start with, the website has been updated – whoo hoo! It’s long overdue and I’m loving it. There are a few minor changes that I wanted to share with you.
The navigation is very similar to the old site as you can click on the “Schedule Appointment” button on the home page or the “Book Now” button in the header/menu to get to the scheduling page. The same two appointment options, Adult or Youth manual therapy sessions, are available at all the same times and prices (no changes there). The calendar still goes out 90 days and there is still a waitlist/cancellation list. So as always, let me know if you’d like to be placed on the cancellation list if you’d like to be seen sooner than your scheduled appointment. But on the new website, you will see a new “No Wait” appointment option for $175. The “No-Wait” session takes place outside of normal business hours and is for those times where you need to be seen quickly, the next opening too far away, or if you don’t want to take your chances waiting for a cancellation to open up a spot, etc. Currently, one “no wait” is available each week at 12:30pm on Wednesdays, but if that day/time won’t work for you or is already booked, just send me a message. I’m hoping this new appointment option will help since the schedule is very booked out and many times the number of spots opening up due to cancellations are very minimal.
As we dive deeper into the new, fun scheduling calendar info, I want to reassure everyone that all of the scheduled appointments in the old system are still in the current calendar. One change is that if you had created a log-in account in the old Wix booking calendar system, you’re no longer able to access it. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and I’m happy to help answer any questions or if you would like to know what upcoming appointments you have scheduled. Does the new system have a way to make an account? No, but saving your confirmation emails in a separate email folder would be a substitute. Good news is that you’re able to easily add your appointments to your phone calendar or Google calendar from your confirmation email. Depending upon your device, you may see a message like the image to the left and you’ll need to click on the “I know the sender” box to allow the system to make additions to your Google calendar. Super easy!
Canceling and rescheduling stay the same (text/email me at least 24hrs in advance) with the addition of also being able to click on the “reschedule” or “cancel” buttons located at the bottom of your confirmation and reminder emails – a new, neat feature! See the picture to the right.
Another cool feature is the option to sign up for a text reminder when scheduling. Reminder emails and/or texts are still sent out 24 hours in advance of your session. With the winter weather now here, just a reminder that you can contact me to cancel at any time due to inclement weather or illness without having to pay a fee. Safety first and don’t make me worry about you on any bad winter roads haha!
Then, the online payment changes. The main change is that there is no payment portion of the new scheduling calendar when you’re booking appointments. Basically, there is no longer the box where you pick to either “pay in person” or “pay online” with PayPal when booking your appointment. When you’re at your session and paying for the appointment, payment options of cash, check, or PayPal are still the same. If you’d like to use PayPal and are unsure how that would work, let me know and I can give you more details. I will also now have the option of payment with a credit card at the time of your session. Unfortunately, credit card fees have increased significantly over the past year, so I would like to encourage cash or check as much as possible.
Lastly, the old booking calendar will still keep running in the background until all previously scheduled appointments have happened, which will be in February. So, there will likely continue to be sporadic email reminder issues until that time. So, I can’t guarantee you’ll get a reminder email or multiple reminder emails – so sorry for this inconvenience! – but this will be fully resolved very soon. If you have any questions about when your appointments are, don’t hesitate to email or text me.
Wowza, I think that’s it! I appreciate you sticking through reading this to the end and for navigating these new changes. Please reach out to me with any questions! I hope you all have a happy and wonderful holiday season – I’m so thankful for all of your support and look forward to seeing you soon!
Peace, Love, & Vegetables,
Dr. Lori
